A Poem: Through the hinterland: A Train Journey- 25.12.2019

It is pristine and peaceful the mist has descended on the sleeping village
Not a soul is seen the village is in deep slumber
The green foliage mingles with the pond and the fields of yellow mustard cultivation
As the train lumbers on through the villages a sense of peace and tranquility takes over
A little bit of life yawns to a slow start
Stirring slowly to life some step out
A tea stall opens and someone sits down to have his hot cup of tea
Activity slowly picks up as the day lazily moves on
I view the soporific villages from the window of my moving train and relish the ambience of the boondocks.
